ON THE HOLY TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD AND GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST

IN WHICH IT IS DEMONSTRATED THAT THE LIGHT OF THE TRANSFIGURATION IS UNCREATED
We are filled with praise and wonder when we see this magnificent work of God, the entire visible we see this magnificent work of God, the entire visible creation. The pagan Greek sages also extolled and admired it as they investigated it. But whereas we marvel at it to the glory of the Creator, they did so against His glory, for in their wretchedness they worshipped the creature rather than the Creator (cf Rom. 1:25). In the same way, we elucidate the words of the prophets, apostles and fathers for the benefit of those who read them and in honor of the Spirit who spoke through them.
